How to get there
Plane
Koh Phangan is most easily accessed via Koh Samui airport.
Bangkok Airways operates about 20 daily flights between Koh Samui
and Bangkok (about 4.000 baht – 80€).
There are more than 10 passenger boats and one car ferry between
Koh Samui and Koh Phangan every day.
The trip takes between 30 and 60 minutes.

Train
The night-train from Bangkok to Surat Thani is very recommendable
(about 500 to 1.200 Baht – 10 to 25 € ; should be booked in Bangkok).
The 1. and 2. class beds are very clean and with aircon or fan, there is
also a restaurant car. From Surat Thani train station a bus brings you to
Donsak pier (about 45 min).
There are 5 car ferries and 5 passenger boats between Surat Thani and
Koh Pha Ngan per day. Boats from Surat Thani take 2-3 hours.
Tickets are available at the piers and at many other tourist centres.

From Thongsala, the beautiful East-coast is about a 45-minute drive on the
jungle road. Pick-up Taxis start from the pier, and of course you can order
us to come and pick you up. We advise you not to drive yourself because
the road can get, shall we say, quite adventurous, especially in the
rainy season.
